The ECN Awards 2025 proved to be an unforgettable evening for Volta Compliance, with the team bringing home two prestigious accolades recognising excellence in both sustainability and software innovation. Held at the Heart of England Conference and Events Centre, the event celebrated the best in electrical contracting, and we were thrilled to stand among this year’s winners.
Volta Compliance was named Winner of Sustainable Project of the Year for our work at York Minster for the Chapter of York. This project demanded a careful balance of heritage, safety and sustainability. Our engineers delivered a modern, energy efficient electrical solution that respects the fabric of this historic building while supporting its long term operation.
A huge thank you goes to our Volta engineers who worked so hard on the York Minster project. Your craftsmanship, attention to detail and commitment to excellence are the reason this project stood out.
We would also like to give a very special thank you to Associated Clean Technologies Limited. You brought this project to us and we are truly grateful. This opportunity made the award possible.

We were also Highly Commended in the Software or App of the Year category for our electrical compliance software, ECaaS.
ECaaS helps duty holders and contractors manage electrical compliance in one place. From scheduling and reminders to documentation, reporting and asset visibility, the platform is designed to make staying compliant simpler, more transparent and more efficient.

The awards ceremony took place at the Heart of England Conference and Events Centre and brought together some very large and well known companies. Being recognised alongside them made the evening even more memorable. Respect to all the finalists. It was a brilliant event with great food, drinks and even better company.
Thank you to Simon Rowley and Kelly Byne for organising such a fantastic event and to Electrical Contracting News for hosting. It was also great to meet judge Gary Parker, who joined us at our table on the night.
We would also like to thank All Things Media Ltd for running the event and all of the sponsors, including City Electrical Factors, Aico, CHINT, Hispec – Life Safety and Housing Solutions, Contactum Ltd and NAPIT.
