Certified EICR Reports

An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is more than compliance: it is your assurance that the electrical system underpinning your business operations and premises are running effectively, in a manner that limits the risk electrical faults pose to visitors or staff, and in line with legislation.
By working with Volta Compliance, you are removing any worries you have in terms of your electrics with a qualified team completing a thorough visual and physical inspection of your electrical switchgear and accessories to check they meet BS standards.

EICR Testing occurs in line with your business operating hours to minimise downtime, and highlights areas of concern requiring an immediate fix as well as any non-urgent works that can be scheduled for a later date.

  • Volta Compliance has worked with 2Excel Aviation Ltd for more than 18 months. They initially installed a high quality CCTV system and have subsequently conducted a full Emergency Lighting and Electrical Compliance check of the entire building. I would have no hesitation in recommending them for electrical work.

EICR FAQ's

What is the aim of an EICR?

EICR is a full-scale assessment of your electrical system that ensures it is operating safely and meets the compliancy guidance set out by the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.

Who is responsible for the testing of a commercial or industrial property?

EICR certificates are often the responsibility of the occupiers and not the property owner. You must use an approved electrical contractor to complete the EICR report.

How often do I need an EICR?

Recommended frequencies for the first period after initial installation vary dependant upon the type of building. It is the job of the inspector to recommend a subsequent frequency based on his/her finding.
