The Challenge

To install electric vehicle charging infrastructure to include 2 – 7.4kW sockets. The sockets had to be post mounted centralised between parking bays 1&2. The sockets needed to be tethered and have full smart functionality with a back office portal.

The Solution

Our solution was to use EO Charging sockets and associated equipment to provide high quality 7.4Kw sockets complete with tethered leads. The sockets are connected to a network and allows smart functionality for the user to login and:

  • Set up drivers/Remove drivers
  • Set the tariff
  • Set the minimum charge
  • See the current status of the hub and associated connected chargers

It also allows Volta Compliance to login remotely for any reboots of the hub/sockets and or unlocking of the cables if necessary. Other benefits included:

  • Usage is recorded for any auditing requirements
  • The most up to date protection for the end user
  • In our design we used the matt:e o-pen device to offer the highest level of protection and the most technologically advanced protection to the end user

The Results

The finished install is clean looking, clean for the environment and encourages EV’s to be used. Ultimately helping with the fight against climate change.
